4.  I would like to use your translation service, what do I need to do now?
(1)  Give us a copy of your driver licence (both sides) and a copy of your passport (only the page with your photo), by one of the following two methods:
  • By email.  You can scan your driver licence and passport using a multi-function printer or a scanner.  Or you can take a photo of them by using a digital camera or a mobile phone. Please make sure that the scan or photo can be read clearly on a computer screen.
  • Bring your driver licence and passport to our office.
(2)  If there are non-English characters (for example, ä ö ü ß) in your names, please let us know their equivalent English characters.  If your driver licence has all your names in a row and does not explicitly specify what is your family name, given name and middle name (if any) respectively,  you need to tell us what is your family name, given name and middle name (if any) respectively

(3)  Tell us by email what you would use the translation for  (refer to section 1 above).

(4) Tell us by email how you would like to receive the translation
  • By email (you will need to find a printer to print it).  Choose this option only if the purpose of the translation is 1a (see section 1 above).
  • By post.  Please tell us your postal address and postal code.  Please also tell us whether you would like to receive the translation by regular mail (no additional fee) or registered mail (additional fee of NZ$10).  Please note: We do NOT post translations to your hotel or your car rental company.
  • You come to our office to collect the translation when we tell you it is ready.
(5)  Make payment by using any method listed on our web page: www.aktranslation.co.nz/payment.   After you have made payment, please let us know asap, preferably by email.

We will need to receive all the above information and payment before we can start translating for you.
